Job Description
We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager, Swine to join our team. This position can be located in the Eastern US. As a Key Account Manager Swine, this person will have responsibility for sales and technical leadership representing NutriQuest and our technologies to determine the value of solutions to the customer. Resolves customer issues/problems, researchers, and makes recommendations for potential product enhancements or modifications to increase sales.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for selling NutriQuest’s range of products or services in a competitive environment.
- Manage customer base within a defined area to meet or exceed sales, financial, and operating targets.
- Achieve the revenue and net profit objectives as agreed upon with their manager.
- Maintain timely updates in the CRM database on all customers and prospects, including account planning and call plan activity.
- Leverage the Challenger Sales process to create differentiated customer experiences.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Engage the support of customer service, administrative, financial, and educational backup teams as required.
- Participate in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote the company’s activities.
- Recommend solutions to problems involved in the preparation of account contracts and negotiations with customers.
- Provide liaison between customers and the company by ensuring prompt and efficient processing of customer correspondence, requests, and orders.
- Service customer complaints and inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition or Ag related field
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in a feed additive or animal-related sales and a clear understanding of production economics and practices.
- Clear understanding and functionality of formulation in swine diets and feed manufacturing.
- Desire to lead sales effort with key mega swine accounts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Computer proficiency in Office products, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint

Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, 40-60%, with 2-3 nights per week average
